Graycott

Graycott is most well-known for it's arena, the largest in Mor-Thir. For once a week each year the City's population almost doubles as it draws in spectators for it's annual Royal Tournament, where hopeful combatants fight it out for glory, gold, and for some a chance to escape their lives and be hired as mercenaries or guards.

For many years Graycott had a reputation for being a good hiding location for the Outlawed. For a time due to certain laws before they were revoked criminals could volenteer to go into the arena to fight, if they won they were given a pardon for past crimes.

In 12319, there was a large crackdown on criminal activity and harbouring of outlawed races. Many activists from across Mor-Thir spoke out against the violent and sudden attacks as being of much greater force than reasonably expected. Many fled at first signs or soon after including Dance, Dazran, Idris, Maleny, and Vaughan.

Graycott Arena is a magnificent feat of arcatechture and magical engineering. The largest combat arena on the continent not only i sear size but also seating for the audience. Its a major economic contributor not only to the city of Graycot but also Covania as a whole. even in the months leading up to major events at the town adventurers, gladiators and onlookers are beginning their training and trips from all over the nation and beyond.

A Colosseum of grand design with options for every wealth bracket, the most expensive seats being private booths high above the area grounds while the more mundane seats you ca find all around the outside as you would expect. The Arena is highly sophisticated with magical workings, the arena grounds are able to shift and change its layout and even partially climate at the will of the Game Master's who oversee the Arena. Traps, creatures, boons and puzzles can all be added, removed and intertwined for events held at the arena though its full range is normally saved for major events such as the 'Royal Tournament' or other special annual events.

Might VS Magic
The Might VS Magic fights are held once a month, while everyone knows the fights are staged and winner is determined long before any fighting starts the grand display and spectacle draws in large crowds that would much rather watch a show than a blood bath.

Reflector Event (Mirror Fight)¹⁾
Currently the newest official event held at the arena and the most unique of the events on the schedule. Its only held every 2nd year due to the required resources and the rather poor odds of survival but it is a spectacle nonetheless and what citizen doesn't like a bloodbath for entertainment.
typically a group of 'willing' adventures enter the arena not as foes but as allies. Their task is to fight whatever the Game master throws at them, there is no rime or reason to the fights as it involves whatever rare, exotic or dangerous creatures the arena could find in the lead up to the event. This is all an appetiser however as the real even begins when duplicates of the contestants enter the arena for a final showdown. These duplicates being rather lethal matching strength, magic and skill of those they copy.
