Shipment

There are 8 mercenaries, 2 drivers, and 4 horses.

Cart 1 (Cargo)
Inside the cart is unnaturally dark

  • Sealed parcel, an obvious rune has been placed which will burn contents
    • 5 circles
    • Spell scroll
    • Letter to EKH, written in Infernal unknown sender
      • Whispers suggest the rise of a successor to the late traitor Bur'Aron, this new traitor is granting unsettling visions. At worst, these visions reveal our plans, and at best, they stoke fear and unrest among the populace. Understand this, E.K: your role in uncovering and thwarting this threat is paramount. Failure to do so could result in the revocation of our deal.
  • Blood red gems, hot but not enough to burn
  • Stone & metal pillar

Cart 2 (Supply)

  • 1 Empty barrel
  • 1 Barrel 3/4 filled with water
  • Crate of dried fruits (18 meals)
  • Crate of dried meats (17 meals)
  • 5 Hard bread
  • 10 Bedrolls
  • Firewood & tinder
  • 44gp in a box labelled supply fund

The Gates

King, Lambert, Renfry, and Lilian have a plan to intercept the shipment before the claws. They'll have to start moving today or tomorrow. They've learnt the claws are setting an ambush between Cros-Glas and Gued Qeston, the Gates want to hit it before it reaches Cros-Glas, coming from Graycott. Reports from the Blacklist say there are two enclosed carts. Expect a crew of 6-8 mercenaries. Ambush plan is to take a cart with them and fake a break down to block their path, sands often cause carts to be trapped and winds push sand onto the roads. We can hide bear traps to catch the wheels or horses if they try to ignore us or flee

The Claws

The Claws will be waiting on the edge of the Narod Desert and Golden Coast, risker move of waiting for the shipment and tailing through the hills and forests until they stop for the night. Once majority have gone to bed, silently take out any on watch. Break into target cart, take what we need if too heavy we take the cart. Getting back into the city will be easy, have enter via sewers/tunnels

Amonora, he's a mercenary I hired to help track-down and kill Dance and you lot for trying to kill me. This village is too small for both Dance and I anyway. Doesn't seem like a fair fight now, I need to find my new help.
Has paid Dance in full (1000gp), nothing for Blackfyre yet 750×4(3000gp)

Dance, you visit Dance's tent to find it empty, judging by the small sand being blown in its been a week maybe two since it was cleaned. Quite a few different sets of footprints walking around the tent. No signs of a fight more like a search.

Ansley, as you're leaving Dance's tent and the markets a human woman approaches you, “Is the coarse traitor in there? I want to have a drink with them” as she holds up a jug of water, Ansley is also searching for Dance to have a 'chat' about them revealing her identity

The Unseen Lady

Eless, Blackfyre is confident Eless is clear of being the Unseen Lady
Forvon, out of town to Ferrabreeze buying new artworks
Theresia, currently inconclusive unable to come up with evidence only eliminate other options
Glazier, new lead hinted at by Tirak, Marge's workshop is in Tulip Heights but home and small office is in King's Hold, husband Richard makes glass, Marge pieces together

The Cold Knight

Meddryd, Mal's ping detects him in town. Can be found “making friends” with a pick-pocket, as the group is passing an alley Mal you catch the glimpse of the outfit you saw in the scrying, squatting next to a body, the figure appears to be searching the body. “I can explain, this man is.. was a pick-pocket who picked the wrong pocket.” Taking a moment The Cold Knight looks each of you up and down “By the five-headed god, you're them. I've signed a contract to collect your heads but you're lucky I haven't been paid yet” He flips through a few coins before offering one forward “here a bit of hush money, a rare coin I already have a few of in better condition, minted for the King's coronation 43 years ago.”

Kat, If Kat shows off her magic coin Meddryd gets interested “It'll be a shame if the client pays up” - “A simple trick I have many like it, do you want another coin? tell me do you like sight or luck? 100gp or if you have some rare coins we could trade.”
Sight Heads, painted eye = See Invisibility | Tails, marble eye = Blindness | 1 hour
Luck Heads, full pouch = Advantage | Tails, empty pouch = Disadvantage | next roll
Rare coins - 1 for every 100 pieces of coin

  1. Defect from when minting process changed during the Ashlem War due to shortages
  2. Minted two years ago when Greyhawk claimed independence
  3. Great condition and notably from overseas, not many make it such good condition
  4. Oh wow one from the year I hatched, nothing else special (11674(663 years))
  5. Fake gold, very well made forgery but it's not real
  6. Last day of a mint in Reton they stamped every coin with their mark, Empire issued a recall but many already got into circulation
  7. It's faded now but used to be a painted coin, I've got a near mint but would love to compare
  8. Celebrating 100th Graycott gladiator games

Meddryd's intel
Silver Dragon - “The Cold Knight, mercenary for hire, collector of coins, sure I've got my hoard of coin but I like the rare, the magical, and the storied.”

Red Dragon - “Ahaha don't go poking that one, I am contract bound not to divulge anything about that one but lets just say a few years ago a certain Kalithak MoltenClaw tried claiming territory. His soul was torn to pieces.”

Shadow Dragon - “I only know that one arrived from another plane with an infection or virus. She and a dragon rider went into hiding, haven't heard anything in the 50 or so years since.”

Green Dragon - “She's a young lady, kept out of my way while I had claim on the three cities of the coast and smartly took over when I was forced out. Shame about her lair, we don't get along but I feel the pain of losing a home. Dangerous game living in the capital of a nation forged from the blood of dragons.”
“Why we don't get along? nothing personal against her it's just she's a dragon. I often wonder how they Usermaatre managed, but then again they didn't in the end.”

Shop contract

We tracked down a suspect who was in the shop from the day of the theft. We would like you to bring them back to the academy, then we can question them. He's a young gnome in Tulip Heights by the name of Bilryn. Bilryn will comply with any of the groups demands/requests. Reaching the academy they ask if Blackfyre would like to sit in on the questioning. Charisma Save 16 else can only tell the truth.
“Thank you for coming, spell should make this quick” You see in the corner of the room a Holy looking Knight who says a quick chant, everyone make a Charisma Save, the Knight nods and shop keep turns back to Bilryn.
“Did you steal the Dragon slaying bow and or the Cape of Montebank?” “No”
“Do you know who stole them or anyone involved?” “No”
“Well sorry for wasting your time Mr.Bilryn, seems our information was wrong, please accept a discount for the trouble.” He turns to the Knight who gives a series of nods and shankes, then to the group “Out of curiosity while you're here, do you know who stole the bow you were looking and or cape you had on order?”
